‘Jack stands out as an exceptional talent whose songs and performance style are simultaneously rich and complex at the same time as being engaging and emotionally touching.’

  Pete Dale, Slampt Records.

BBC2 Young Folk Award Semi-Finalist 2016

Acoustic singer songwriter from Holmfirth, England. Jack was a semi-finalist in the BBC2 Young Folk Award 2016 and has played at festivals all over the UK since. Coming from a musical family, Jack began playing classical guitar at an early age and soon moved into the realms of songwriting in his teens.

During his first year of university, Jack took up singing and this furthered his ability to write his own songs and develop his songwriting techniques. Through his time at university Jack wrote numerous songs and was able to record and perform them as part of his course. After graduating with a first class degree and moving to London, Jack has been performing as a solo singer/guitarist at festivals and shows all over the UK and spent lots of time developing his sound and songwriting. He now has a well rounded and balanced sound which combines his Folk roots with clever guitar techniques and extra orchestration. His most notable performance yet was opening the Main Stage at Carnival 56, Camperdown park in 2017.

EP Reviews:

The 730 Review:
“These 6 tracks took me back to a more innocent time. Patchett, in his own way, has found a gorgeous blend somewhere between the pop-folk sound of Mumford & Sons and the rough tenderness of Paolo Nutini.”

‘King of the Moon’ Reviews:

Ear to the ground music:
“Patchett is the kind of artist that defines why we have a music blog. He’s clearly an exceptional songwriter and his vocal is on point throughout the track. His song deserves wide acclaim and significant airplay. If I ran a radio station, I’d put this track on every few hours. His sound reminds me of folks like Daniel Powter and David Gray. Let’s keep our ear out for his rise!”

“Such a considered setup, gentle strumming and equally soothing singing that brings with it a presence of contentment. And boy does the world need a bit more of that particular feeling. KOTM helped me sidetrack all the daily worries for a few minutes and for that I am most thankful.”
