22 year old singer songwriter from Holmfirth, England. Coming from a musical family, Jack began playing guitar at an early age taking up classical guitar lessons at primary school. As he progressed through the school years he began to get more of a taste for songwriting and was involved in many bands of many genres along the way. Finally settling in a more acoustic setting around the age of 17, Jack began to write more of his own material and strayed away from the classical pieces of the earlier years. During his first year of university, Jack took up singing and this furthered his ability to write his own songs and develop his songwriting techniques. Through his time at university Jack wrote numerous songs and was able to record and perform them as part of his course. After graduating with a first class degree, Jack has since moved back to his hometown of Holmfirth and has been performing all over the country at different festivals and events. So far has had some success, captivating audiences of all ages. More recently, Jack was a semi-finalist in the BBC2 Young Folk Award 2016 and a finalist of the New Roots competition.
